Master Valet Drycleaners & Apparelmaster
Commercial Electrical
GRE Services had the pleasure of delivering the electrical scope for the newly refurbished Master Valet Drycleaners & Apparelmaster premises at 14 Gloucester Street, Nelson. This project brings modern commercial functionality into a building with a long and varied history — previously home to Dominion Breweries, then Courier Post, and later NZ Post.
Master Valet itself is deeply woven into Nelson’s heritage. Originally located at 70 Achilles Avenue, the business later moved to 218 Trafalgar Street, where the building was tragically destroyed by fire in 1965. Its replacement — a taller, modern structure — became a notable architectural milestone as the tallest building in Nelson at the time. Over the decades, Master Valet has continued to evolve, relocating to 96 Collingwood Street before arriving at its latest home on Gloucester Street.
As part of the refurbishment, GRE Services delivered a modern electrical upgrade designed to support the operational needs of a busy drycleaning and garment-care facility. Our scope included new lighting, power distribution, electrical infrastructure for equipment and machinery, and improvements aligned with contemporary safety and energy-efficiency standards.
This project blends modern commercial electrical work with respect for the city’s storied past, and GRE Services is proud to have played a role in revitalising a business that has served the Nelson community for generations.
Reliable power, thoughtful design, and quality workmanship — supporting businesses with deep local roots.
